Pastor Dale is the Senior Pastor at the Biltmore Church of God.  Dale and Laura Whitson delight in serving people and encouraging them in their authentic Christian walks.  Rev. Whitson's preaching, teaching, evangelizing and influencing others for the cause of Christ.  He enjoys mentoring and encouraging others in times of personal growth, challenge, crisis, and normalcy.  Pastor Dale finds fulfillment in leading, empowering, and equipping Christians for ministry.  Laura serves as choir director and plays piano for the praise team.  She also teaches a young married couples Sunday School class.

Pastor Dale and Laura are both graduates of the rapidly expanding Lee University, a Christian Liberal Arts school, located in Cleveland, TN. Pastor Dale attended Lee for three and a half years and graduated in December of 1996 with his Bachelor of Science in Pastoral Ministry.  Laura began her Lee journey in 1996 pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.  While Laura completed her degree at Lee, Dale began attending the Church of God Theological Seminary, also located in Cleveland, TN.   After Laura's graduation in December of 1998, they moved to NC and began ministering to the youth at BCOG.  In June 200, Dale graduated from the COGTS with his Master of Divinity degree.  In 2005, Pastor Dale began a Doctor of Ministry in Christian Leadership program at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC and is enjoying his studies there.  He hopes to graduate May 2009.  Laura is employed as a social worker at Mission Hospitals and has future plans to continue her education in counseling.  Dale and Laura began their journey as Senior Pastors of Biltmore Church of God in March, 2008.

On a personal note, they love being married and being a family.  They treasure their beautiful sons Benjamin Levi and Judah Jeremiah.  They have lots of interests and enjoy lots of things:  a good read, music and reflecting over a great cup of coffee (white mocha latte from that green-block-lettered place). Family, Taking walks and drives, Friends, Camping and exploring the great outdoors, Great food, Sports - playing or watching golf, baseball, and yes -- T-ball!  And the BEST:  Jesus, His people, and growing His Church!  Life is beautiful -- Cherish each moment and live it to the fullest!  (John 10:10b)   (Yes, this last part was written from the heart of the quirkiest of the two.)

Donnie came to us as a teenager, accepted Christ early and continued to serve The Lord through high school.  After graduating, Donnie continued his education at Lee University and has now graduated from there and has accepted the position of Youth Pastor at The Biltmore Church of God.  His life is a true testimony of how God can work in the life of a young person if they are sensitive to His Spirit.
